Can I print the Fit To Fly Certificate?
Every PCR test includes your results report and a validated laboratory certificate which can be used for work or travel purposes. Both documents are available to download and print once your results are complete.
How do I take the test once I receive the kit?
Activate your test: Once your test arrives, register your unique reference number on our website.
Collect: Collect your sample by swabbing the back of your throat for 1 minute.
Send: Return your sample to the lab in the pre-paid return postage mailing bag.
How soon will I receive my results?
Test results and Fit To Fly lab validated certificates are available online within 48 hours from when your sample is received by the lab. Please allow a total of 4-5 working days from placing your order to receiving your results. We are not liable for any delays due to the increased demand.
Is your laboratory safe and approved?
Our tests are performed by a ISO 15189 assured European lab who are Dakks accredited. Our partner lab is one of the leading laboratories for specialised virus testing in Europe.
When should I take the test?
Samples should be taken and sent to the lab as soon as you receive your test. The test can only detect if you were infected with SARS-CoV-2 at the time you’ve collected your sample. The test does not check if you have been infected with the virus previously.
How do I send my sample?
You will be sent a PCR sampling kit which includes everything you need to take your sample and send to our testing laboratory with a postage paid mailing bag. Please take your sample on Monday – Thursday and return same day. Do not take your sample and return on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
What results could your report tell me?
Your test results will be described as either negative, positive.
What is a PCR test?
A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, looks for genetic (RNA) fragments of the virus itself. This type of testing looks for an active infection and is performed by ‘swabbing’ or collecting cells from the nose and throat. A positive PCR test means that you currently have the virus and are potentially infectious to others.
